Ingestre Lodges is very well located in the heart of England and benefits from being within easy driving distance of many local attractions. The grounds of Ingestre Hall, landscaped by Lancelot ”Capability” Brown in the 18thCentury are now home to Ingestre Park Golf Club. Three miles to the east of Stafford, Ingestre has excellent road and rail links to the rest of Great Britain. The M6 motorway gives easy access to the North, South-east and South-west of England. Birmingham and Manchester airports are within an hour travelling time.

Stafford railway station lies on the West Coast main line, 100 minutes from London Euston. The Trent and Mersey Canal offers a more leisurely mode of travel with narrow boats for hire at Great Haywood.

Closer to hand, Staffordshire boasts a host of visitor attractions and vast areas of open countryside. Historic castles and stately homes vie with exciting theme parks and sporting attractions to occupy your holiday time.

The nearest large village is Great Haywood two miles away, which has shops, two pubs and a restaurant. Three miles away, Stafford (population 60,000) has a wide range of shopping and recreation facilities and some excellent restaurants to suit every taste.

Further afield is the attractive cathedral city of Lichfield (population 30,000) 15 miles to the south-east and the still smaller town of Stone (population 15,000) 10 miles to the north-west. Both are well-known for the quality of their restaurants, gastro pubs and other eating houses.
